The Rev. Keith Ritchie is a native of Harrisonburg, VA. He met his wife, Paula, at Eastern Mennonite College. They married in 1982; he graduated with a Social Work Degree in 1983. He then enrolled at Union Theological Seminary, Richmond, VA, from which he graduated with a Master's of Divinity Degree in 1986.

 

Keith's first appointment was to two churches on Virginia's Northern Neck. Since then, he and Paula have looked forward to retiring to the area and happily did so, moving to Dunnsville in 2025. During his ministry, Keith served in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, in the Richmond suburbs, and in Northern Virginia. He and Paula have two grown daughters; Bekah and Liz.

 

Keith believes himself to be blessed to serve Shepherd's UMC. Normally a reserved fellow, if you want to get him talking, bring up the topics of baseball or Frank Sinatra.
